Saša Marković Mikrob (October 21, 1959, Belgrade, SFRY – July 15, 2010, Belgrade, Serbia), also known as Mexican, Groom, Bamboo and Ganesha, was a visual artist, journalist, radio host, social worker and much more. Unique phenomenon on the Serbian alternative and art scene. He studied Yugoslav literature and Serbo-Croatian language at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade.
He entered the art scene in the early 1990s when he began exhibiting his works in galleries. His oeuvre consists of different art expressions: photo boot photos, drawings, masks, performances, graphics, video works, installations, covers for music discs, objects and assemblages. He was a discophile, a connoisseur of rock music, a regular visitor to concerts and exhibitions in Belgrade, he wrote poetry, he dreamed of traveling to India.
